Dr. Jeffrey J. Hurewitz is extremely passionate about health and wellness.  As a young athlete Dr. Hurewitz found himself exploring ways to live a natural and healthy lifestyle.  Through his studies, Chiropractic care became the foundation of his life.  Dr. Hurewitz grew up in Manalapan, NJ. He earned his Bachelor of Science degree in Psychology at the University of Wisconsin, Madison and his Doctorate degree in Chiropractic from Palmer College of Chiropractic West in San Jose, California. Dr Hurewitz is board certified in electro-diagnostics and engages in continuing education regularly.   Dr. Hurewitz has been trained in the most up to date techniques and state of the art physiotherapy procedures.  

Dr. Hurewitz uses a “whole person approach” when caring for his patients and believes that proper emotional and physical balance is critical to wellbeing.  Dr. Hurewitz is married to Dr. Margo Hurewitz, who is a psychologist within the practice. Jeff and Margo have two beautiful daughters, Madison and Zoe.  Dr Hurewitz enjoys surfing, mountain biking, hiking, running, weight training, yoga, reading and personal development.  

Dr. Hurewitz’s goal is simple:  “I look forward to working with people on their journey to better health.  My primary focus is helping my patients do what they love to do. I am committed  to helping patients stay active through chiropractic care and lifestyle coaching”.




Dr. Margo Hurewitz is a licensed psychologist who specializes in treating children, adolescents and adults who are struggling with anorexia or bulimia as well as other psychiatric conditions such as depression and anxiety. Dr. Margo Hurewitz gained clinical experience and expertise by working as a primary therapist on the Eating Disorders Unit at the University Medical Center at Princeton. Dr. Margo Hurewitz is committed to providing a safe and nurturing environment in order to help patients identify the underlying issues contributing to their eating disorder as well as develop healthy coping skills.

Dr. Margo Hurewitz utilizes an integrative treatment approach involving both psychodynamic as well as cognitive behavioral therapy. She also incorporates mindfulness and distress tolerance skills into her practice. In addition, she provides individual, marital and family therapy.














Cali, Betty, Maxx & Jaxson are the office therapy dogs.  Although they are not formally trained, they provide wagging tails and smiles to patients when they are in the office.  They are part of our family here at Balance, so don't be surprised if they greet you once in a while!
